Frequently Asked Questions
About pain relief, my office, and scheduling an appointment
Do I have to be an athlete to come in for pain relief?
Nope! All pain is created equal. Whether you're recovering from injuries or surgeries, stress or anxiety- massage is beneficial for all bodies.
What are your rates? (And why?)
90 Minute Massage - $180
2 Hour Massage - $240
Services at Align Therapeutic Bodywork are priced on the idea that massage is healthcare, and not luxury. I use many tools during my sessions to help relieve chronic pain. Therefore the use of anything such as Hot Stones, Ashiatsu, Cupping, or Gu-Shua (all of which is charged extra at most places), is already built into the price of your 90 minute, or 2 hour session.
Additionally tipping, or gratuity, is not accepted. Not only can tipping be awkward and confusing at the end of a massage, I believe in elevating the massage industry standard to be on the same level of professionalism as a chiropractor and other healthcare professionals.
Do you offer 60 minute massages?
The Bodywork that I offer is best experienced in 90 Minute or 2 Hour sessions. I often include extra work like stretching, cupping, and ashiatsu, that is best experienced in more time than less. It also takes about 30-45 minutes for the brain to fully 'shut off', and for the body to fully decompress.
60 Minute sessions are available by request only (no online booking at this time), and have limited availability during the week. If you are interested in booking a 60 minute massage, please contact via email at info@aligntherapeuticbodywork.com or by calling (720) 271-2842
Should I see a chiropractor, or acupuncturist? How do I know massage is right for me?
I am a firm believer in the benefits of chiropractic care and acupuncture...AND, I know that everyone's body responds differently to different types of facilitating care. No two chiropractors or acupuncturists are the same. I would be happy to help you asses what avenue of health is best for you and getting the results that you want.
Literally, every 'body' can benefit from massage. Whether that is reducing pain, decreasing stress and anxiety, or preparing your body for upcoming changes (like pregnancy, birth, or surgery)- every one benefits from the preventative care, that massage offers.
Most people are in a constant state of inflammation caused by stress, diet, exercise, and the everyday wear and tear we put on our bodies. Additionally, for decades society has depreciated the value of being touched and human connection. Massage is a fantastic way to feel good in your moment, feel better in your body moving forward, and to have healing work happen for you, without you having to do anything.
How often should I come in?
This really depends on what results you are looking for.
As a bare minimum for any person, in any condition- getting a massage once a month is an amazing way to take care of your body. This allows your body to alleviate anything that has been bothering you in the past few weeks, and continue to be preventative care for your future.
If you are in chronic, or debilitating pain (pain that is preventing you from doing things, or pain caused by previous injuries or surgeries), I usually recommend 2-4 sessions a month to start, and then reevaluate after 4 weeks. I know that might seems overwhelming or unrealistic at first, but the more consistently you tackle the problem, the faster it goes away, and the sooner you can begin living your life again pain free, and get on a massage schedule that works best for you.
In a perfect world, everyone would get a massage once a week and it would be as common place as brushing your teeth. But the truth is- most people go their whole lives without ever truly taking care of their bodies, or investing in their physical health. ANY amount of massage is beneficial for the body- whether you go twice a year or once every 5 years.
What is cupping (and ashiatsu, and Gua Sha?)
Information and details about the different techniques and tools that I use can be found in the drop down menu in the top right hand corner under 'services'. If you have any specific questions, please use the contact form at the bottom of this page to reach out to me directly.

Scheduling is done easiest online by clicking here, visiting the 'Scheduling' tab in the top right corner of the menu option from this website. You may also reach out to me directly by using the contact form at the bottom of this page.
What are your office hours?
